MTM Gives Audi S8 a 650HP Bi-Turbo Kick Under the Bonnet

At the same time Audi is showing off the facelifted iteration of the A8 and S8 models at the Frankfurt Messe, German tuning outfit MTM is launching a new treat for owners of the current S8 performance variant.

The highlight of MTM's tuning project is a €4,925 (US$6,600) power kit that lifts the output of the S8's 4.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8 petrol from 512hp (520PS) and 650 Nm (479.42 lb-ft) to "more than 650hp" at 5,950 rpm and 800 Nm (590 lb-ft) from 1,700 rpm to 5,500 rpm, respectively.

MTM states that its version of the S8 hits 100km/h (62mph) in 4.0 seconds, or 0.2 seconds faster than the stock model, while also returning a higher top speed of 293km/h (182 mph).

The tune also includes new 21-inch multi-spoke wheels shod in tires 305/30 ZR21 (€5,800), an F-Cantronic air suspension module (€1,750), a more powerful braking system (€6,700), and a sports exhaust with bespoke quad tailpipes (€4,500).

If you're interested, MTM is offering the display model in the pictures for €155,000 (US$207,000) in Germany.
